WORTH Mentoring Program
WORTH – Women Obtaining Restoration Through Healing
WORTH is a 12-week interactive program designed for at-risk girls and women ages 14- and up in under-served communities.
Young women in the program develop by growing to meet the challenges of systematic gaps, adolescence, and young adulthood through a coordinated, progressive series of high-quality activities and learning experiences.
We focus on achieving social, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. Mentoring sessions, community outreach, and development activities give members the ability to lead themselves and others.
Members learn to analyze their own strengths and weaknesses, set personal and professional goals, and have the self-confidence and self-esteem to pursue and achieve their goals.
Participants 17 years or younger parent(s)/guardian permission is required.
Diamonds in the Rough
Ages 14-18
Young ladies in high school who experience transition and social development which leads them to at-risk situations, resulting in bruised emotions and diminished self-esteem as their mind, emotions, and relationships change. At this level we focus on improving self-worth, valuing oneself and respecting others, building self-confidence, effective communication, and community service.
Precious Pearls
Ages 19-21
Young women transitioning to adulthood and post-secondary school searching for independence and identity. Their personal needs and priorities are the basis for goals they set for their lives. At this level we explore and prepare for future careers and roles through leadership training, career development/advancement, healthy decision making, providing post-secondary resources, and scholarships that will lead to long-term stability.
Priceless Gems
Ages 22- and up
Adult women that experience personal and professional setbacks. During trying times of family or job loss and unexpected circumstances, they are looking for a helping hand. At this level we focus on building self-confidence, maintaining self-sufficiency, finding your purpose, goal setting, professional development, and any additional assistance available.
My favorite lessons tn this program are Trusting And Knowing My Worth. Because if it really wasn’t for those lessons I wouldn’t know who I really am and who I really wanted to grow up to be.
