K. Nikkie Pittman J.D.

President and Founder

Nikkie Pittman is a youth advocate and motivation speaker dedicated to helping young girls and women. From her youth in Birmingham, Alabama, she took care of her brother as their mother worked multiple jobs to support the family. She has a 21 year long banking career focusing on Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) Investigations. Ms. Pittman is a graduate of West End High School, received her Associates in Applied Science Degree in Business Education from Lawson State Community College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, and a Juris Doctorate from the Birmingham School of Law. As a member of the Board of Directors for Friends of Helena Schools, from 2011 to 2013, she helped raise money for schools in Helena, AL. She is the founder of Woman of Worth, Inc. This non-profit organization encourages young girls and women to live up to their full potential and understand the value of their worth. Her passion and purpose in life to help those that are less fortunate. She lives in Helena, AL with her family.

Ashley Thomas

Vice President and Secretary

Ashley Thomas grew up in the small town Georgiana, AL. In 2003, she moved to attend the University of Alabama in Birmingham, AL to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Sciences. Later, she received her Master’s Degree of Health Administration with a concentration in Education from the University of Phoenix. In April 2019, she earned her Master’s Certificate in Healthcare Quality and Safety. For 11 years, Ms. Thomas works for the UAB Health System in Radiology as a CT Technologist, preceptor, and educator. She serves on the Board of Directors of Woman of Worth, Inc. as the Vice President and Secretary. Ms. Thomas lives with her husband and daughter in Helena, AL.

Valencia Maiden

Treasurer

Valencia Maiden is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where she graduated from Central High School. She attended college at Tuskegee University and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. For the past 17 years, she has worked in the Birmingham City Schools System as a fifth-grade educator at Glen Iris Elementary. In 2017, Ms. Maiden continued her education by earning a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Alabama State University.  Ms. Maiden is passionate about teaching and wants only the best for her students. Her commitment is to mentor girls to overcome obstacles and to redefine their future.
